My in laws are 92 and 89. They are in relatively good health considering their ages. They are always on the look out for the latest and greatest remedies that add to their quality of life and we often share back and forth new health trends. They introduced me to flax seed and I told them about whole grains. When they recently started espousing the benefits of coconut oil, I had to investigate for myself and I sure liked what I was finding. Thus, beginning May 1, 2012, I became an advocate and user of coconut oil and am recommending the same for you.
Tip #3- Use Coconut Oil Daily
Why wouldn’t you want to use a product that contributes positively to hair care, skin care, stress relief, maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, HIV and cancer, dental care and bone strength? In addition, coconut oil is also known to be a natural antioxidant and antibacterial source.
I know you are probably skeptical about all of these claims. I sure was at first. But there is plenty of research to substantiate these attributes. Start by investigating the Coconut Research Website. What spurred my in-laws to begin using this miracle food was watching this short news reel produced by CBN which certainly catches your attention. There is also a well known book, The Coconut Oil Miracle.
Using coconut oil is not new; it has been prescribed for hundreds of years by holistic practitioners. It is just one more tool to familiarize yourself with in your quest for overall good health practices.
How much should you take? I asked the wellness specialist at my local Sprouts and she recommended a tablespoon a day. I must admit it is a little daunting to slip a tablespoon of what appears to be a form of pure grease into your mouth. I’ve talked to other fellow users who prefer to melt it down and put it in their hot drinks or hot cereal (Beware: putting melted coconut oil in to a cold substance–like a smoothie–instantly creates a chemical reaction where the oil returns to its solid state.) They also will spread it on their morning toast. I have to admit, the hint of coconut taste is very delicious.
Using coconut oil daily has proven to be an effective way to reduce and even eliminate many detrimental symptoms associated with aging. What a tasty and easy way to fight back.
