Who knew there was a National Watermelon Day?!!! Celebrate with this quick and easy way for cutting watermelon.

Summer and Watermelon are the perfect pair. But cutting watermelon can get really messy really fast. My husband discovered this cool trick for cutting watermelon in just 2 minutes without the mess. You must give it a try!!!

Step 1: Cut watermelon in half.Cut a watermelon with no hassles or mess. Step 1. Midlife tips.

Step 3: Cut around the rind of the watermelon with the knife going all the way down but not through the bottom.Cut a watermelon with no hassles or mess. Step 3. Midlife tips.

Step 4: Cut across the watermelon, all the way down, side to side.Cut a watermelon with no hassles or mess. Step 4. Midlife tips.

Step 5: Turn the watermelon a quarter of a turn and cut across again, from side to side, making a grid.Cut a watermelon with no hassles or mess. Step 5. Midlife tips.

Step 6: Turn watermelon upside down over a bowl and watch the pieces just plop out.Cut a watermelon with no hassles or mess. Step 6. Midlife tips.

Serve the watermelon in a bowl or mix with other summer fruit and refill the rind for a festive, natural bowl.
