A great way to begin incorporating Raw Food Cuisine is by having a Green Smoothie for breakfast. This tasty drink, that you actually chew, has your daily serving requirement for fruits and vegetables. You can make and refrigerate it the night before and it keeps for three days. Enjoy!
Ingredients (Put in order in a blender)
2 cups pre-washed, leafy greens (I use spinach but you can also use kale, Swiss chard or
3 oranges, peeled and rough chopped (You can substitute with grapefruit, tangerine or
1 banana, peeled and rough chopped (Substitutions can include mango, blueberries, or peaches)
1 cup or more of additional fruit (Whatever is in season: apple, pear, etc.)
1 or more cups of water (Depends on your preference for thickness)
Process until smooth. Serve immediately. Don’t forget to chew as you drink it. This will get your stomach enzymes working and you will feel fuller faster.
